Accessibility Statement
Version 2.0 — Effective August 16, 2026
Technology On Call is committed to making law-o-matic.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
1. Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That is the standard most commonly referenced by US and EU accessibility law, and it is the standard our own scanner measures against.
We describe this as a target rather than a certification. Automated testing cannot prove conformance, and we will not claim a level we have not had independently audited.
2. What we do about it
We review colour contrast, keyboard operability, visible focus indicators, semantic structure and heading order, form labelling, and screen-reader output. Accessibility checks run as part of our own scanning of this site, and we treat failures as defects rather than as backlog.
3. Known limitations
We would rather name these than let you discover them:
Report visualisations. The dials, gauges and score graphics are decorative representations of numbers that are also given as text. If a graphic is unusable to you, the same value is available in the written findings.
Generated documents. Fix files and policy drafts we generate are plain text and Markdown. They inherit the accessibility of whatever you paste them into, which is outside our control.
Third-party components. The consent banner and the bot-check widget are supplied by CookieYes and Cloudflare. We chose them partly on accessibility grounds, but we do not control their markup.
4. Telling us about a barrier
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us — it is the fastest way for us to fix it.
Email [email protected] with the subject “Accessibility”. Describing the page and what happened helps, but do not worry about technical detail — tell us in whatever way suits you.
We aim to acknowledge within 5 business days and to tell you either how we have fixed it or when we expect to. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will offer another way to get what you needed.
5. If we do not resolve it
If you are not satisfied with our response, tell us and we will escalate it to the operator directly. Our contact details are also in our Privacy Policy.
